治人事天莫若啬。夫唯啬,是谓早服。早服谓之重积德,重积德则无不克,无不克则莫知其极,莫知其极可以有国,有国之母可以长久。
是谓深根固柢,长生久视之道。

治理人民、侍奉天道,没有比啬更好的了。正因为啬,所以才叫早服。早服就是重视积累德行,重视积累德行则无往不胜,无往不胜则无人知晓其极限,不知其极限就可以保有国家,拥有国家的根本就可以长久。这就叫做深根固柢,长生久视之道。
