是以欲上民，必以言下之；欲先民，必以身后之。
是以圣人处上而民不重，处前而民不害。是以天下乐推而不厌。
以其不争，故天下莫能与之争。

Kgaolo ena e bua ka eng?
The translation reveals that rivers and seas become rulers of all valleys because they willingly stay below them. Therefore those who wish to be above the people must first speak humbly to them. Those who wish to lead the people must first place themselves behind them. Thus the sage dwells above yet the people do not feel burdened, dwells ahead yet the people do not feel harmed. Therefore the world gladly elevates and never rejects them. Because they do not compete, no one in the world can compete with them.

I recognize that genuine strength comes from humility. This teaching shows that wisdom outweighs fame. I learn to guide others without competition.

Today I will practice listening before speaking. I will serve others without seeking recognition.
