Original

故以身观身,以家观家,以乡观乡,以国观国,以天下观天下。吾何以知天下然哉?以此。

Deep Reflection
What is this chapter about?
This chapter describes how virtue, when cultivated at each level of life—self, family, community, country, world—spreads naturally. It emphasizes starting with oneself and using direct experience to understand others.
How does it relate to me?
I often try to change the world or others before looking inward. This reminds me that lasting change begins within me, and by grounding myself in virtue, I positively influence everything around me.
What should I do today?
Today, I will focus on one small act of kindness or integrity in my own life, such as speaking gently or keeping a promise, without worrying about the outcome.
